Interview conducted by Alan Cherry as part of the LDS Afro-American Oral History Project of the Charles Redd Center for Western Studies at Brigham Young University on 7 November 1986. Jackson talks about his early life in Lakeland, Florida. He describes his conversion to the Mormon Church, his experiences at Ricks College, Rexburg, Idaho and Brigham Young University-Hawaii. He speaks of his courtship and marriage and his feelings as a Mormon.
